Biodiesel Quality Report 2021
Through the use of biofuels 83% greenhouse gas emissions could be saved in 2021. Biodiesel is by far the most important biofuel for achieving the climate targets. The Biodiesel Quality Report 2021, now published by AGQM (Association Quality Management Biodiesel) shows how excellent the quality of the products originating from Germany and Austria is, and that this would allow a higher proportion of biodiesel to be blended. more…
Setting the oxidation stability of FAME safely
Sufficient oxidation stability is essential for the safe use of biodiesel. For stabilisation, antioxidants are needed that can be used without interaction with diesel fuel and other additives. In the successfully completed no-harm test round for oxidation stabilisers for biodiesel, three antioxidants passed the challenging tests and can thus be used safely. more…

New list: These commercial vehicles are allowed to fill up with biodiesel
A new list shows the trucks, buses, engines, and other commercial vehicles that have been approved by the manufacturers to run on higher blends of biodiesel. They can be fuelled with a proportion of 10 percent (B10), 20 percent (B20), 30 percent (B30) or pure biodiesel (B100). Almost all well-known vehicle and engine manufacturers have given their approvals, from Caterpillar to DEUTZ, MAN and MTU to Scania and Volvo. By using biodiesel, operators of heavy-duty vehicle fleets contribute to climate protection, because depending on the feedstock, biodiesel emits between 70-90 percent less greenhouse gases than fossil diesel. more…
