Verbio purchased biodiesel plant in Canada

Verbio recently purchased a biodiesel plant from Atlantic Biodiesel in Dain City, Ontario, Canada. The plant has an annual capacity of approximately 150,000 tonnes of biodiesel and 18,000 tonnes of raw glycerine. Theodor Niesmann, CEO of Verbio, said that due to the political environment the German biofuels market does not offer prospects for further growth, which is why they have been expanding into Asia and North America. With the purchase of this new plant in Canada, Verbio’s total biodiesel production capacity has increased to approximately 620,000 tonnes per year.
