New pump labels in EU

In the EU new harmonized fuel labels were introduced on October 12. As there is a growing diversity of fuels on the European market, the labels are meant to help avoid misfueling. Diesel fuels are now labeled with a square including a B and a number to represent the blend concentration of biodiesel (e.g. B7, B10, B30, B100). Synthetic diesel fuels are also labeled with a square showing the letters XTL. Gasoline fuels are labeled with a circle including an E and the blend concentration of ethanol. Gaseous fuels are labeled with a diamond including the abbreviations CNG, H2, LNG or LPG.
