Malaysia introduces B20 across the board

Malaysia is expanding its program to increase biodiesel blends to B20 as it seeks to increase biodiesel production, safeguard the palm oil sector and reduce fuel cost subsidies. The B20 program will be introduced in several steps. Since last month, B20 has been available at some filling stations in two counties. By the middle of next year, it should then be available at 3,400 filling stations nationwide. The higher biodiesel admixture will help to reduce CO2 emissions by 3.8 million tons per year. Fishermen in Malaysia already use B10, and with this newly introduced program they will switch to B20.
