EU extends tariffs on US biodiesel

The European Union has decided to maintain its tariffs on US biodiesel for another five years. The reason given was that their removal would likely lead to an increase in imports and artificially low prices. US producers are fully utilising their capacity and additionally diverting part of their exports from less profitable markets at dumping prices to the European Union, the world's largest market for biodiesel. The tariffs, which date back to 2009, have now been extended until 2026.
