To convert UCO into biodiesel, PepsiCo launches new pilot project

PepsiCo has launched a new pilot project in order to reuse the oil produced in a snack factory in Burgos, Spain, by conversion into biodiesel. The company's fleet uses this biodiesel to transport PepsiCo products. In this way, 380 tonnes of CO2 can be saved annually. Further initiatives of this kind are planned. For example, another project is being launched with duotrailers. This type of truck allows the transport of a larger amount of product powered by biofuels.
