BLE Evaluation Report 2020 published

The evaluation and experience report published by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food for the year 2020 again highlights the great importance of the contribution of biofuels, especially biodiesel, to reducing greenhouse gases and achieving climate protection targets. As in the previous year, approx. 83 % greenhouse gas emissions could be saved compared to fossil fuels, with the largest share of 53 % of biofuels being the use of biodiesel, which saves an average of 81 % greenhouse gases. According to the Nabisy database, the most common feedstocks used to produce biodiesel in 2020 were UCOME (37 %), RME (32 %) and PME (25 %).
