Vote on biodiesel anti-dumping duties postponed

The European Commission (EC) has postponed their decision on anti-dumping duties on biodiesel imports. Since 2013 import duties prevent biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia from flooding the European market. Because of unfair trading practices biodiesel from these countries is sold at very low prices. Both countries complained at the world trade organization (WTO) about the duties. That’s why the European Commission is planning to drastically reduce the duties. A reduction would have far-reaching consequences for the European agricultural, oil mill and biodiesel industry.
