Avril raises biodiesel output to full capacity again

Avril could raise their biodiesel output to full capacity again in June after cutting down in March because of increasing biodiesel imports from Argentina. In recent months the oil prices rose which improved the margins for biofuel producers. In addition, buyers started to cover their biodiesel needs for next year in expectation of higher prices following a new EU tax. According to Avril CEO Puig, the increased biodiesel demand can also be linked to growing diesel consumption and rising blending mandates in some EU countries. He also said it was not sure, how long this will last until they have to cut back again.
